My wonder is Jake.  I love Jake!  Jake is kind, loving, and the best.  He is a dog, a guard dog.  He is the best dog.  I’ve wanted Jake back because Jake is my aunt and uncle’s dog.  I know that Jake is eight in people years, but I do not know how old he is in dog years.

Perseverance Walk

Who do you know that has lived a life of grit and determination to reach a big goal?  That was the challenge put before the 2^nd/3^rd graders.  They each interviewed a “gritty” person and shared a tale of perseverance.

 Bepa and Baseball

His brother helped Bepa.  He got better.  He played eight games a day.  He played six days a week.  He got better and better.  He won a game!

I read about polar bears.  An important vocabulary word in my book is webbed.  It means stuck together.  Polar bears can live in twenty-two degrees below zero weather!  In the summer in can get up to fifty degrees where they live.  Most polar bears hunt on pack ice.  Polar bears go from new cub to three-month cub to two-year old bear to adult.

One day at the waterpark the pet shop came with a snake!  The snake was slimy.  It was the wiggliest thing I have ever seen.  It was as long as a tall tower.  I loved the snake, and the snake was nice.
